Kristin J. Anderson

Kristin J. Anderson is a professor of psychology at the Center for Critical Race Studies at the University of Houston-Downtown. She earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Anderson's research explores "benign" bigotry--subtle forms of prejudice and discrimination. Her teaching responsibilities include Research Methods, Psychology and the Law, Psychology of Prejudice, Psychology of Women, and Social Psychology. She is the author of Enraged, Rattled, and Wronged: Entitlement's Response to Social Progress (2021, Oxford). She also wrote Modern Misogyny: Anti-Feminism in a Post-Feminist Era (2015, Oxford) and Benign Bigotry: The Psychology of Subtle Prejudice (2010, Cambridge).
